BIOGRAPHY miki et nana シンガーソングライターとして国内外で活動を重ね、近年はNetflix『timelesz project -AUDITION-』でヴォーカルトレーナーを務めるなど、圧倒的な歌唱力と存在感で観客を魅了し続けるヴォーカリスト・宮本美季が、自身のルーツと新たな可能性を融合させるべく結成した、実力派女性ミュージシャンによるジャズバンド。サウンドの中核を担うのは、バンドマスターでピアニストの竹田麻里絵。多くのメジャー・アーティストからも信頼を寄せられる確かな演奏力とアレンジセンスでバンドの基盤を築き、繊細かつ大胆なプレイでサウンドを華やかに彩る。グルーヴの要となるベーシスト・那姫は、今、最も注目を集める若手ミュージシャンの一人。大御所との共演も数多く、裏打ちされた技術とフレッシュな感性でバンドに新たな息吹をもたらしている。そして、バンドの心臓ともいえるドラマー・西川彩織は、これまでにオリジナル・ソロアルバムを2枚リリースするなど、豊かな音楽性と確かなテクニックを併せ持つ存在。タイトでキレのあるプレイでサウンドを躍動させる。「メロウで艶やかな、レトロ・ブルージー・ジャズ」をコンセプトに、オリジナル楽曲を中心に、ジャズ、ロック、ソウル、ポップスなどの名曲も新たな解釈でカバー・アレンジ。ジャンルの垣根を越えた自由な音楽性で、独自の世界を築いている。
miki et nana Miki Miyamoto, a singer-songwriter who has been active both domestically and internationally, and who has recently served as a vocal trainer for Netflix's "timelesz project -AUDITION-," continues to captivate audiences with her overwhelming vocal ability and stage presence. She has formed this jazz band of talented female musicians to fuse her roots with new possibilities.
At the heart of the sound is bandleader and pianist Marie Takeda. Trusted by many major artists, her solid performance skills and arranging sense have built the band's foundation, and her delicate yet bold playing adds vibrant color to the sound. Bassist Nagi, the linchpin of the groove, is one of the most talked-about young musicians today. Having collaborated with many established artists, her proven technique and fresh sensibility bring new life to the band. And drummer Saori Nishikawa, the heart of the band, has released two original solo albums to date, possessing both rich musicality and solid technique. Her tight and sharp playing brings the sound to life.
Based on the concept of "mellow and sensual retro bluesy jazz," they primarily perform original songs, but also cover and arrange classic jazz, rock, soul, and pop songs with a fresh interpretation. With their free musicality that transcends genre boundaries, they have built their own unique world. This autumn, they will release their long-awaited 1st album, "THE BEGINNING."
